Borneo Adventure and Klotok Trip
8 Days, 7 Nights
Day 1: Kumai, Tanjung Harapan
Morning pick-up from the Airport or Hotel to the Kelotok
- Greeted at Pangkalan Bun Airport by our friendly Guide with your name plaque card
- Transfer form the Airport directly to the Boat, where you are welcomed by the full Boat crew
- Snack and tea on arrival on the Kelotok
- River cruise to Tanjung Puting National Park
- Whilst enjoying the river cruise, spot the wildlife, including: Proboscis monkey, Birds, Wild Orangutan and much more
- Have a lunch on the Boat while cruising the river to the first station at Tanjung Harapan
- Witness the Orangutan feeding at 3pm
- Return to the Boat, where you will be able to spot proboscis monkey and macaque and various bird species
- Enjoy a candle lights, while listen to the sonata of nocturnal animals,birds and insects
- Lie on the deck, to gaze at the stars and the clear night time sky
- Overnight on the Boat, under a mosquito net, covered by the Boat deck, but with all the advantages of the outdoors
Day 2: Camp Leakey, Pondok Ambung
- Breakfast on the boat, on route to next activity
- Go to Camp Leakey for a trek- looking for wild orang-utan ,
- Also discover the bountiful plant life, butterflies and insect species that exist in the rainforest
- Back on the boat for lunch
- View afternoon feeding of the orangutans on the outskirts of Camp Leakey
- Spot crocodile while river cruising and having your afternoon delight
- Brave a night trek through the jungles of Borneo, searching for glowing mushroom, nocturnal moths, deer, and tarsier- small nocturnal primate, unique to the region.Overnight on the boat, relaxing on the boat and in the wild
Day 3: Pondok Tanggui, Pesalat, Sekonyer village, Tanjung Harapan
- Breakfast on the boat
- Travel downstream to early morning orang-utan feeding at Pondok Tanggui (station 2)
- Lunch on boat
- Visit the reforestation site at Pasalat and plant trees to help and learn about the conservation plan for the rainforest.
- Make memories and help make a lasting impact on the restoration of the rainforest
- Learn about the medicinal properties of the various plants of the rainforest
- Visit the local village and spend time with the locals, view hand-made souvenirs
- Return to Tanjung Harapan for orangutan feeding
- Back to the klotok for afternoon tea and fried banana
- Travel downstream river to spot fire flies and other magical things that exist in the rainforests
- Candle lights dinner on the Klotok
- Overnight on the Klotok, enjoying the tranquillity of the forest at night
Day 4: Tanjung Keluang –turtle research centre
- Breakfast on the boat
- Cruising Kumai bay to reach Tanjung Keluang
- Learn about the turtle, breeding site, guests can release the turtle into the sea
- (donations are given to the research centre)
- Lunch back on board the klotok
- Relax on the white sand beach and swim at your leisure
- View the picturesque sunset
- Intimate Dinner on deck
- Go explore the nightlife in the forest on a Night trek
- Overnight on the klotok
Day 5: Buluh River
- Another breakfast will be served on the Klotok
- Await good timing for continuing the trip to Buluh river
- Crossing through Kumai bay when high tides and good weather
- Enjoy a delicious lunch on the Klotok whilst river cruise to upstream
- Witness beautiful forest vegetation and the black water of Buluh river
- Shower or leisure with a view of amazing Rainforest
- Dinner on the Klotok
- Relax on the upper deck of Klotok to view the Star and Milky way at clearly night’s time sky
- Overnight on the Klotok under mosquito net and comfortable mattres
Day 6 : Buluh River (Full Day)
- Awake early morning, listen to the sounds of jungle
- Breakfast on the Klotok
- Travel upstream by speed boad to explore Buluh river
- Search for crocodile, wild orangutans, fruit bat and other wildlife of Borneo
- Witness the orangutangs feeding
- Return to the Klotok
- Cruising river downstream
- Delicious lunch on the Klotok
- Shower and Leisure
- Enjoy the twilight of the rainforest
- Enjoy your snack and softdrink
- Candle lights dinner
- Overnight on the Klotok under mosquito nets and comfortable mattres
Day 7 : Kubu Beach, Pangkalan Bun
- Breakfast on the Klotok
- Await for good timing to cruised Kumai bay to Kubu beach
- Sail through Kumai bay on high tides and good weather
- Transfer to Pangkalan bun for a night’s accomodation
- Have another lunch at one of restaurants at town
- Return to the hotel
- Sightseeing around town
- Return to Hotel
- Delicious dinner will be served on the restaurant
- Overnight at the hotel
Day 8: Hotel, Airport
- Breakfast at the Hotel
- Transfer to the Airport for your next destination
- Farewell

1. Please advise us before hand of any special dietary requirements or physical disabilites
2. First day itinerary depends on the arrival time at Pangkalan Bun Airport − morning arrival will be able to view the Orangutan feeding on day one also early departure can be arranged in order to make the flight out of Pangkalan Bun on the last day of the trip.
